How important is the Blood?

How important is the blood? Blood sustains our physical lives! Human flesh cannot live without blood.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood.” – Leviticus 17:11

How important is the blood in the spiritual realm? The blood of Christ sustains our spiritual lives as well!

“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.” – Hebrews 9:22

Sin cannot be forgiven without the shedding of blood; and it had to be sinless blood shed to make a satisfactory payment to God for the removal of human sins.

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” – John 1:29

Jesus is our lamb sacrifice! “And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.” – Ephesians 5:2

“But this man (Jesus Christ), after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God.” – Hebrews 10:12

“And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh.” – Hebrews 10:17-20

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.” – Revelation 1:5

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers. But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” – 1 Peter 1:18-19

“But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” – Hebrews 9:11-12

Now that you have been purchased by God Almighty through your trust in Jesus Christ’s ultimate sacrifice, YOU SHOULD SERVE CHRIST DAILY!

“How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” – Hebrews 9:14

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” – Romans 12:1

The purpose of a Christian is to reproduce oneself. “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise” (Prov. 11:30).
