Study the Word of God

May we study the Spoken Word of God today so that the Holy Spirit may teach us something new!

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” – John 14:26

The Bible is a closed revelation, and it behooves us to study it fervently!

“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” – Psalm 12:6

“For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.” – Psalm 119:89

"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you." - Deuteronomy 4:2

“Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” – Proverbs 30:6

Jesus said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” – Matthew 4:4

Jesus told unbelieving Jews to search the Scriptures and confirm them because they speak of Him! Jesus said, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me” - John 5:39

The church at Berea searched the Scriptures daily to test what was being preached to them. Don't trust what mankind tells you.  Search the Scriptures yourself and trust God! “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” – Acts 17:11

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” – 2 Timothy 3:16



“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:15

The Holy Spirit is our Anointing as believers in Christ, and He will teach us spiritual truth if we study the Word of God!

“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” – 1 John 2:27
